Wedding Decoration Accessory
Accessorizing a Wedding With Ribbon
If you are looking for a wedding decoration accessory that is
easy to use and low-cost you should consider wedding ribbon. Ribbon
is very inexpensive and can be purchased by the yard or in entire
spools. It comes in many shades and patterns and can also be
purchased with wire sewed into it for extra flexibility. Ribbon is
the ultimate wedding decoration accessory. It can dress up any area
of a wedding in seconds.
Brides can use ribbon in a variety of ways. It can be draped, hung,
or formed into bows for decor. Brides can make their own bows from
ribbon. The simplest bow is the shoestring bow. This bow is as
simple as tying your shoe. You create a simple bow by tying the
ribbon like you would a shoestring or a bow in your hair. This type
of bow looks pretty for many decoration locations. To help your bow
keep its shape, use ribbon with a wire inlay.
To create a more elaborate bow you will also need clear wire and an
empty toilet paper roll or soup can. Cut about three yards of
ribbon. You can use wired or plain ribbon for this task, or you can
try both until you get your desired look. Begin by looping the
ribbon around the empty roll or the soup can. Loop it around the
widest part of the roll or can. Continue looping the ribbon over
itself until you just have a few small pieces left to use as your
ribbon tails.
Carefully remove the ribbon from the roll or can. Be sure to keep
its looped shaped. Cut a small slit into the center edge of the
loop. Tie the wire around the center of the loop, where you made the
slit and secure. After the wire has firmly secured the loop you will
have two distinct sides of the bow. Start with one of the sides and
twist out the inner most loop of the ribbon. Continue doing this
until you have twisted out each loop. Continue working with the
loops until you get your desired look. This creates a bow with a
full look.
Ribbons can be used to dress up wedding arches as well. Layering
them on top of flowers or greenery is an effective way to use your
ribbon. You can either add bows to the arch or simply wrap the
ribbon around the arch. The same is true with your candelabras.
Ribbon instantly adds decorative flair to a plain candelabra.
Leaving long ribbon tails on your candelabras is a great way to
create a more dramatic look.
Ribbons are also great to use on the outer edges of reception
tables. Draping them around the table and securing them with tape,
staples, or pushpins is an easy way to accessorize your tables.
Ribbons are a wonderful wedding decoration accessory. You can use
them anywhere in your wedding location. Te greatest thing about
ribbons is that they come in so many styles and colors. You can get
a ribbon to match any wedding style or theme. Just be creative and
experiment with adding ribbon accessories to your wedding.
