Wedding Anniversary Decorations
Decorating For An Anniversary Party
Anniversary celebrations can be just as exciting to plan and
attend as a wedding. Anniversaries celebrate a couple's loyalty and
long lasting love. They are beautiful occasions that should be
shared with family and friends.
Wedding anniversary decoration
should focus on the past and present. Including both elements in
your wedding anniversary decorations will allow the couple and their
guests to remember the good times of the past and to recognize how
far in life they've traveled together.
Decoration for an anniversary celebration should be classic in
style. Evening is a wonderful time to pull off this type of party.
Consider hiring a jazz band, renting a ballroom, and decorating with
memories from the past. Decorative accessories should be in darker
colors than for a typical wedding.
The use of tulle is not
recommended, as it is more appropriate for a wedding celebration.
Sheer fabrics in navy or beige are wonderful additions to an
anniversary celebration. They can be used as ceiling decor or for
simple tablecloths.
If possible, a great way to invite people to an anniversary
celebration is with a knock off of the original wedding invitation.
Try finding an original invitation and having an anniversary party
invite made to look just like it, only obviously with the new date
and time. This will stir up memories for the couple and some of the
guests may even recognize the original design.
Photographs are the best way to easily construct decorations
reflecting the past. Consider finding photos of the couple at their
wedding, during family vacations, with children, and in the present.
Make sure you can line them up chronologically as accurate as
possible. Next, take the photos to a print shop and get them blown
up to poster size. Then, create a photo timeline by displaying them
on a long wall in order of the date they were taken. If you do not
have a wall long enough, simply wrap the line around several walls.
Another great way to display the life the couple shares is through
video. If a wedding video is available, you might consider playing a
portion of it on a giant projector. This is a great way to bring the
past and present together. If there is no wedding video, consider
making a collage of family vacation videos, videos of the birth of
their children, and so on. This is another great way to let the
couple bask in their family glory.
Playing songs during the party that were played at the wedding is
also a fantastic idea. Chances are no one will remember the
significance of the songs except the anniversary couple, but it will
mean a lot to them. Seeing them dance to their original wedding
dance song will be a remarkable and romantic event.
Wedding anniversary decoration is distinctly different from typical
wedding decoration. The great thing about anniversary decor is that
the couple has already lived so many life experiences together that
can be shared through creative decorations. These great decor ideas
will thrill the couple and have the guests "remembering when".
