Pew Bow Hangers
Tips On Hanging Pew Decorations
Coming up with the perfect pew decoration is a struggle in itself,
however trying to find a stylish way to attach the decoration to the pew
is a challenge itself. Brides are often frustrated with their options
for hanging pew bows and other pew decor. Pew bow hangers can be made of
almost anything. The type of pew bow hanger you use depends on the exact
decorative look you are going for as well as the most practical solution
for the decoration.
Churches and other ceremony locations are getting stricter when it comes
to pew bow attachment. Brides of the past relied heavily on tape to
attach their pew decor, however tape often pulls the finish off of pews
and damages it forever. Churches today rarely allow brides to use sticky
substances such as tape directly on their pews. This leaves brides
brainstorming on how to effectively display their pew bows or other pew
decorations.
Pre-made metal hangers made specifically for pew decorations are a great
way to attach your pew bows or flowers. These hangers are designed to
fit any pew and will not damage the pew in any way. The hangers look
like a miniature version of door wreath hangers. They are low-cost and
can save a great deal of time when setting up for the ceremony. Although
most of these hangers claim to work for any pew, it is a good idea to
take your hanger to the ceremony location in advance to be sure.
The only downside to the metal hangers is that since the hanger fits
over the top of the pew, part of the metal usually shows. Some brides
find this displeasing to the eye and would rather opt for a more
secretive hanging method.
Thin wire is a great wedding decoration tool and can be used in hanging
pew bows. First, attach the wire to the bow or other arrangement. You
can then easily connect the bow to another piece of wire that can tie
around the pew’s end. Wire is great because it is very bendable and can
be hidden well. It is also very secure and will not harm the pew.
Fishing line is great for a bride who wants an invisible pew bow hanger.
Using standard fishing line, brides can connect their bows right to the
pew. The line is virtually invisible and does not harm the pew. It is
not as secure as thin wire however and may allow your bow or arrangement
to droop.
Ribbon is a great way to add decoration as well as hang pew bows or
other decorations. Simply attach a loop of ribbon to the decoration to
create an instant hanger. You can pin the loop, sew it, or hot glue it.
Hot glue is the most secure method to use. Twine is a great way to
create a hanger as well. It is very strong and can hold a heavy
decoration. Create a loop the same way you would with ribbon and hang
your decor stylishly.
Finally, suede strips provide a natural looking
hanger. The straps can be connected just as the ribbon and twine are and
can hold a moderate amount of weight.
Brides no longer have to fret over the pew bow hanger challenge. Using
these pew friendly ideas, brides can design custom hangers in no time.
