necessary for making them are readily available at your local
crafts store.
Decorations for a sports wedding theme can be as varied as the
sports you are crazy about. Balloons in your favorite sports
team uniform can be anchored on tables for use as centerpieces.
Votive candles in the team’s colors can be displayed on the
reception tables and given away as favors.
You may also be able to get matching place settings in your
team’s colors if you plan in advance. Party rental stores often
carry place settings for these types of theme parties and would
be happy to accommodate you.
Attire for a sports wedding theme ceremony can be as relaxed or
as traditional as the bride and groom choose. Some sports fans
have been known to wear their favorite jersey over their formal
clothing. This includes the bride!
Another way to show your support for your favorite team is for
the groom to have a bow tie and cummerbund with the sports
team’s logo on it. The bride may wear earrings that support the
team and a garter belt that has the team’s logo on it.

creative as the couple wishes. It can be in the shape of their
favorite sports ball, stick or racquet. It may even be in the
shape of a racing car. It can even be in the shape of your
favorite sports stadium. If you want to err on the traditional
side, the cake can have decorations or icing that match the
sports team you are rooting for.
Party favors for the sports wedding theme can include porcelain
boxes that are in the shape of your favorite sports item, golf
tee paperweights, horseshoe bottle openers or key chains. Favors
for bridesmaids can be jewelry, designer cookies or charm
bracelets with sports theme and wedding charms.
You can have a ball planning a sports wedding theme celebration.
Just be prepared to say your vows in front of a crowd, or
possibly an entire stadium of fans.
