Lighted Arch Column Decoration: Perfect Accent for an Evening Wedding
The modern bride has many backdrops to choose from whether she
is planning her wedding indoor or outdoors. A favorite of many
brides is the lighted arch column decoration. Popular style
choices include Grecian, French, Roman, black wrought iron,
chiffon draped columns and American western style designs.
Evening weddings are perfect for the lighted arch column
decoration designs. Variations on this theme are the lighted
French doors with lighting over the three points of each arch
and accented with an ivy swag.
The Grecian version can include draped gossamer fabric behind
the columns and the top of the columns are decorated with ivy
and lights are wound around the length of the columns.
The roman version of the lighted arch column decoration includes
having an S-shaped floor design and they are decorated with mini
white lights, grape ivy with grapes and hung on the swag across
the top of the archway. It is beautiful if white satin is hung
behind the display.
White Grecian square columns are very beautiful if the archway
is lit across the top and accented with lots of greenery and
white flowers. This has a gothic look and has a lot of impact in
a reception hall. It makes a beautiful backdrop for wedding
pictures at the reception.
The outdoor lighted arch column decoration most popular with
outdoor weddings is the wrought iron archways, oak archways and
opaque columns that are lit from the inside.
The wrought iron archway makes a nice lighted arch column
decoration when it is covered with mini white lights up and down
the wrought iron design. The additional decorations on the
archway is up to the bride, depending on the theme she chooses
for her wedding.
For a western style wedding, bittersweet fruits or even small
chili peppers can be anchored amongst the lights for a unique
look. Also popular with western style weddings is the oak
archway. The light colored wood can be decorated with the mini
white lights as well and the three points of the arch can be
decorated with ivy or flowers of the bride’s choice. The
entrance to the archway can be decorated with sunflowers, straw
flowers and clean bales of straw or hay.
The wrought iron archway is also popular with brides desiring a
Victorian or romantic themed wedding. The lighted arch column
decoration can be covered with the white mini lights and then
decorated with flowers of the bride’s choice. This is beautiful
either indoors or in a garden setting.
Opaque columns lit from the inside are popular with evening
weddings that are either indoors or held outdoors under a canopy
or tent. This version of the lighted arch column decoration is
very beautiful in the evening. These columns and archways lend
romantic lighting to evening receptions.
Additional lighting will be needed with these columns if they
are used outdoors even in a tent. This could consist of the mini
white lights being hung from above or even a lightweight
chandelier hung from the center of the tent.
No matter which style the bride chooses for her wedding the
guests will be impressed with her selection and it will become a
photo site for attendees of the wedding or wedding reception.
