Decorate With Tulle For A Wedding
Use Your Tulles – Decorate With Tulle For A Wedding
One way to feel like a fairy princess on your big day is to
decorate with tulle for your wedding. The fabric lends an airy
look to anything you put it on and is great for layering,
especially if you are just looking for a hint of color. Use tulle
in multiple places for your wedding to make the most of this
lovely and simple way to make your wedding decor elegant and
sophisticated.
Bows
Tulle when made into a bow keeps its shape remarkable well. You
won’t have to worry about droopy bows like you might get with
satin or other flimsy ribbons. Use them to decorate pews, doors
and tables. Add a single flower to the center for an extra punch
of color. You can even use satin over the tulle to keep its shape
and give the satin a more ethereal feel. For added sparkle spray
canned adhesive lightly over the bow and sprinkle on some very
fine glitter.
Chairs and tables
If you want just a hint of color to accent your tables or chairs,
consider using a tulle overlay. You can cut the tulle into just
about any size and shape you would need easily. If you decorate
with tulle for a wedding reception, you can use it in several
locations without it being overwhelming.
If you would like, use a colored tulle overlay on your tables,
bows on the chairs and swags over windows all in the same color.
It will soften the look of your reception area and can even make
the Elk’s lodge look elegant. This works especially well if you
are using white table cloths or chair covers.
As plant coverings
Use the existing topiary, shrubs and trees at your ceremony or
reception location. Dress them up by swathing them in tulle and
securing it with a bow, or use a large tulle bow to dress up the
ordinary greens.
This works especially well outside of churches that have sculpted
greenery at the entrance or at the reception hall on some of the
trees near the entrance. Somehow decorating with tulle for a
wedding makes even the most ordinary oak tree or topiary seem like
it stepped out of a magazine.
Arches and favors
Tulle drapes well and can be gathered easily and secured with
ribbons, wires and flowers. This is why it works especially well
for arches. It looks great draped or twisted around an archway,
but looks even more spectacular when you add a few sprigs of you
wedding flower or some trailing ribbons. Carry the theme to your
wedding favors.
Tulle secured with ribbons or small flowers attached to wrapped
wire can make even a simple candle look like a special token.
Adding a cute note to the package will further endear your guests,
and may save you quite a bit of time and money.
Small candles, chocolates, candies, frames and seed packets all
look even more distinctive when wrapped with a piece of gauzy
tulle. This is just one more way to decorate with tulle for your
wedding and add panache.
Learning how to decorate with tulle for a wedding is simple and
fun. Purchasing yards of your favorite color can go a long way in
making your day dreamy. Feel like a true fairy tale bride and echo
the look of tulle in several places in your wedding decor.
