At one time it was traditional to have a fruitcake decorated for your wedding
cake. All the guests were given a piece to put under their pillow to sleep
on for good luck. Today, however, it is unusual to see fruitcake used for
weddings.
Maybe there is a wedding in the future for your family. Just use your imagination

Audrey Kirk created a cake for Nancy Smith's
wedding using flowers in an extremely eye-appealing fashion. Kirk creates
fabulous cakes for friends weddings in her spare time.
Phyllis Veitch has the artistic touch it
takes to create a cake to satisfy any bride's taste. Veitsh is self-taught,
creating works of art from a photograph or description supplied by the
bride. When Veitch's son Ryan was married, his bride-to-be asked asked
her to create a Rice Krispie wedding cake. Most of us couldn't fathom
this as possible but Veitch's creation was a work of art.
Sheri Rampton wanted a cake that looked
like a pile of gifts. To create this lavish look, Phyllis Veitch sculpted
the individual gifts from a carrot cake with cream cheese filling, a
marble cake, a white cake, a chocolate cake, and topped it off with
a marble cake. Her creation satisfied every guest's taste buds. Red
fruit leathers adorned the cake as red ribbon.
Phyllis Veitch decorated Styrofoam cakes
in a western theme for Lori Heapy's wedding. A variety flavours of slab
cakes were decorated and served for dessert.
Melissa Ratz's wedding cake was a bottom
layer of two marble cakes with cream cheese filling. The top layer was
crafted of Styrofoam. The Precious Moments Bide and Groom that Veitch
adorned the top of the cake with will be a keepskae in the couple's
home for years to come.
Wendi Bert designed a elegantly simplistic
cake adorned with frosted grapes for her November wedding. Guests enjoyed
the fabulous carrot cake with cream cheese icing later in the evening.
Phyllis Veitch
created a cake in a red an white theme using wine glasses in place of
pillars for a happy bride.
