French Theme Wedding
Oh la la! The Beauty Of A French Theme Wedding
If your idea of a perfect holiday involves exploring gorgeous
scenery, nibbling on tasty pastries and sharing romantic candlelit
dinners with your sweetheart, then a French theme wedding may be
the perfect choice for your special day!
When guests receive their invitations to your French theme
wedding, they should feel as those they are about to embark on an
adventure to gay Paris. Design your invitations with the French
culture in mind.

For example, the invitations should have scenic
shots of Paris on them, with a few French words (that everyone can
understand), which will allow the guests to use their imagination
and get excited about the French theme wedding that awaits them.
Dressing for your French theme wedding can be tricky. Unless you
intend to spend a great deal of money on your wedding, it will be
hard to obtain a French designed wedding dress.
The French take
great pride in fashion and unfortunately, they also charge a lot
of money for it. However, you can fake it and still adhere to your
French theme!
French women tend to be very feminine. They love fine fabrics,
lace and especially their scarves. At a French theme wedding, the
bride can wear a dress that is very lady-like, composed of sweet
chiffon and lace, with a white scarf draped over her shoulders.
The groom can wear a traditional suit that complements the bride's
dainty dress. Either way, the French value clothes and fashion
immensely, so take pride in what you wear on your special day!
One of the most exciting aspects of having a French theme wedding
is the food that you'll be able to serve at the reception dinner.
The French are known for their tantalizing and varied cuisine and
you will able to share this with your guests during your French
theme wedding.
Wine, cheese and chocolate are primary staples of the French diet.
So, to continue with your French theme wedding, you can treat your
guests to a variety of French cheese and wine, complete with
crunchy French baguettes.
There are also a wide variety of pates
and other typical French spreads to accompany bread. Mix and match
cheeses and pates to provide some selection to your guests!
Dinner can be coq au vin (chicken cooked with vegetables in a red
wine broth), mussels (a main staple of the French diet, usually
cooked in butter and garlic) or there's the typical French filet
mignon and pomme frites (thin, crunchy fries that accompany steaks
in Paris).
The French also cook wonderful vegetarian dishes, such
as ratatouille, so make sure you have an option for your guests
who may not eat meat.
Your wedding cake should, of course, be chocolate, and you can
serve strong, black, French coffee to accompany it, perhaps with a
few extra pieces of dark chocolate or madelines (French butter
cookies) on the side.
If you plan a Paris theme wedding, the decor for your French theme
wedding will be fairly easy.
Since the Eiffel Tower is the most recognizable aspect of Paris,
it might be a good idea to position tiny Eiffel Tower centerpieces
on each of the tables where your guests will sit during dinner.
Similarly, if you want to give your guests a visual tour of Paris,
you can craft different well known French monuments, such as the
Arch de Triumph, the Rodin sculpture garden, the Louvre, etc, and
position different ones on each table, with a brief description of
each.
To add some spice to your French theme wedding, insist that your
waiters wear black and white striped shirts and black berets. Very
typical of France, these servers will look as though they are
right out of Paris.
In terms of music, it might be fun to play traditional French
cabaret music during the reception portion of your wedding. This
will make your wedding unique and will prevent wedding DJs from
playing the same songs that are played at every wedding.
French theme weddings can be visually stimulating as well as very
romantic for the couple celebrating their commitment to each
other. Having a French theme wedding will allow your guests to
experience something different and exciting and they will take
many unique memories with them!
