To Create A Winter Wonderland
If you look are looking for a winter wedding party decoration, you simply
can’t do better than creating a winter wonderland for your wedding party!
Even if you live in a warm climate, decorating your party with a winter
wonderland theme can add romance, and delight everyone there.
Imagine creating the feel that will make everyone want to snuggle up and
feel content. Here is a basic outline of how to do it.
First, you’ll have to think about your colors. If you truly want to decorate
in a winter theme, but desire to keep an elegant look, you should consider
using white and silver for your decoration colors. There is just something
magical about an all white room, with touches of silver throughout it.
Decorate in this manner by keeping the lights low, and then using white
for all of the tables. Select a fine linen tablecloth that won’t just look
an ordinary white one, and your tables will look more elegant. Make sure
that the draperies in the room are white or silver as well—this decorating
theme simply wouldn’t work it they were floral or some other print.
Next, you can incorporate silver into your decor by placing a mirror in
the center of each table, and then adding white candles. The flames when
the candles are lit (in the dimmed room) will reflect off of the glass,
creating a spectacular look and feel.
Your dress should be white with some winter effects added to it. Consider
using a white fur hand muff, or a cloak to complete the winter look. Your
groom should wear a white tux with a scarf to give him the same look. Wear
your hair up, intertwined with silver ribbon, or use some of the silver
hair spray that is so popular now for a stunning effect.
Adding a large pine tree in the corner of the room will serve two decorating
purposes. First, it will add to the feel of a winter wonderland, particularly
if it is sprayed with fake snow. Secondly, you can attach the gifts for
your wedding party and guests, and allow them to select them from the tree
as they leave. What kind of gifts should you give that will complete your
decor? Why not some delicious Jordon almonds wrapped in a shimmery organza
bag, and then tied with a silver ribbon?
Finally, you’ll want to leave your wedding party in style. Why not use a
real sleigh as a decoration, and glide away in the snow as your wedding
guests watch the magical moment? You could attach bells to the sleigh to
give it that added touch, and ask the driver to dress in a white tux.
There are plenty of other decorating ideas that you can use for a winter
wonderland wedding theme. For instance, you could serve hot chocolate or
hot apple cider and even out-of-the-oven fresh baked cookies! Put your imagination
to use, and then get started planning yours!
