Make Your Own Calla Lily Wedding Table Decorations
Calla lilies are elegantly simple and dramatic flowers, which
has made them very popular wedding flowers. If you'd like to make
your own calla lily wedding table decorations, you may be a little
intimidated at the thought of working with the tall, slender
stalks and delicate flowers. Don't be! They're remarkably sturdy,
if you handle them with just a little care.

If you're uncertain how to fit them into a pretty wedding table
centerpiece decoration, try your hand at one of these calla lily
centerpiece ideas. Note of warning: Don't leave them till the last
minute - order a few lilies before the wedding so that you can
practice and be sure your wedding centerpieces will look beautiful
and fresh.
Calla and Crystal Bowl
For each centerpiece, you'll need:
1 glass bubble bowl
Several sheets of clear plastic cellophane
3-5 stems of greens or ferns
3-5 calla lilies in wedding colors
Florists' wire or chenille stem
Crinkle each sheet of cellophane buy scrunching it lengthwise and
shaping it into a thick 'donut'. Stack donuts in glass bubble
bowl, pulling them into the center if needed to fill just to the
rim of the bowl. Holding calla lilies together, wrap with a loop
of florist's wire or a single chenille stem (or pipe cleaner).
Hide the pipe cleaner by wrapping stems loosely with a ring of
cellophane. Insert calla lilies into the center of the ring in
bowl. Tuck ferns or greens into cellophane in a pleasing
arrangement.
Variation: Use clear glass or colored balls instead of cellophane.
Hold the lilies in the center of the bowl with one hand and
carefully fill around the stems with the glass balls until the
lilies will stand on their own. For a truly unique calla lily
wedding table decoration, use colored balls that are a shade or
two darker than the color of your chosen calla lilies, and set
votive candles around the bowl in the center of the table.
Floating Calla Candles
Instead of fresh flowers, choose a sculpted pillar encircled with
calla lilies. Set a clear glass bowl full of water on top of the
pillar and float wax calla lily candles on the surface.
Black and White Calla Lily
For the perfect accent to your black and white wedding theme, try
this black and white calla lily wedding table decoration. Purchase
slender black tower vases in three graduated sizes. Arrange the
three vases on a mirrored round, and glue in place with rubber
cement. Place two or three votive candles between or around the
vases, then encircle the mirror with a wreath of ferns or ivy.
Just before the wedding, place one pure white calla lily in each
stem vase and set in the center of the table.
Don't rely on just the centerpiece. You can use sculpted calla

setting as wedding table decorations as well. If your budget will
permit, you can even lay a single fresh calla lily across each
place setting to share the beauty with each guest.
