wedding day? An angel cherub wedding theme can bless your day with
the presence of angels.
A theme based on angels and cherubs offers many ideas for unique
and fun decorations for your wedding, from table centerpieces to
cake toppers to wedding favors. Here are some ideas for seasonal
angel cherub wedding themes.
A Christmas Angel Wedding
Is there a better time of year to invite angels to your wedding?
Angels beckon you from every window display and store shelf. Seal
wedding invitations with angel stickers in gold or silver foil.
You can use the same stickers to create hand-printed place cards
for guests. Decorate for a Christmas angel wedding with white
velvet and silver ribbons - or go colorful with rich blue and gold
satin.
Treetop angels are uniquely suited to become centerpieces for your
wedding tables. To create your own, you'll need 3/4 inch diameter
wooden dowels, 12 inch diameter Styrofoam rounds, a Christmas
treetop angel (if you choose one with lights, make sure that it
uses batteries rather than electrical cord), an assortment of
greenery and flowers and ribbons.
Insert the dowel into the center of the Styrofoam, using a drop of
rubber cement to hold it in place. Arrange sprigs of holly and
mistletoe around the base, inserting the stems into the Styrofoam
until no Styrofoam shows through.
If desired, embellish further with ribbon in the wedding colors or
a garland of flowers. Coat the top two inches of the dowel with
rubber cement and carefully slide the angel into place on it.
Allow the cement to dry.
Angel cherub wedding favors can be as simple as molded chocolate
candies in angel shapes. Other angel or cherub wedding favors:
angel shaped soaps wrapped in tulle and ribbons; crystal angel
candle holders; wooden boxes painted with cherubs and filled with
Jordan almonds or mints.
Valentine's Day Angel Cherub Theme
Go all out with little cupid cherubs for a Valentine's day
wedding. Decorate in red and pink and white. You can buy tulle
netting in red and pink and white in bulk for about a dollar a
yard. Use it to create dual colored tulle bows - red and pink,
pink and white, white and red - and festoon the halls with them.
Float pink and white and red balloons in the hall, making sure to
add in a few heart-shaped ones. Make your own wedding favors from
miniature heart-shaped boxes of chocolates. Wrap each in a
crisscrossing of ribbons joined at the center of the heart by an
angel charm inscribed with the names of the happy couple.
For a unique, unusual angel cherub wedding theme centerpiece,
start with a round mirrored base. Circle it with a garland of
greenery and roses. In the center of each mirrored wreath, stand a
set of Angel Chimes.
Traditional German Christmas decorations, sometimes called Angel
